Vice president Inonge wina is optimistic that completion ongoing modernization of levy mwanawasa university teaching hospital which will facilitate training of pathologists and a doctors in Zambia

Ms. Wina and health minister Dr. Chitalu chilufya distributed Christmas hampers to nine Christmas babies born between Christmas Eve on Sunday 24th December and Monday 25th December 2017 at levy mwanawasa teaching hospital.

Speaking during the visit Mrs. Wina told journalists that completion of the expansion works at the medical facility will reduce patient congestion at the main university teaching hospital and boost training opportunities for medical personnel.

And Mrs. Wina has advised the ‘new parents’ to love children as siblings are a gift from god.

She has urged all citizens to celebrate Christmas in love, peace and moderation.

And health minister Dr Chitalu chilufya reported progress on ongoing expansion of the 800 bed levy mwanawasa university teaching hospital and its annex training institute.

And levy mwanawasa senior medical superintendent Dr Lastone chikoya briefed the vice president and the minister of health on births recorded during the Christmas period and general developments at the medical facility.
