Police detain a 16 year-old man suspected to have raped a 25 year-old woman

A man suspected to have raped a female adult aged 25 years in libala’s township has been detained while the other one mofya lwandamina committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance.

Chilenje police has received a report of attempted murder in which it was reported that a female adult aged 25 years of water works in Lusaka’s Libala Township was found beaten, tied and raped by known persons.

In a statement made available to q-news by Zambia police public relations officer Esther Katongo says the victim sustained multiple cuts on the neck and chest.

The assailants also stole 400 kwacha and a Samsung phone from her.

She has identified the two attackers as mofya lwandamina aged 28 years also of water works and Keith Chemu aged 16 years.

This occurred on 22 December, 2017 around 1400 hours at water works.

Ms. Katongo says the victim is at UTH undergoing medication.
