The Movement for National Transformation (MNT) has complained to the ministry of home affairs through the registrar of societies’ office that the patriotic front government has stolen its ideas from its constitution.

Party President Daniel Shimunza says elated to note that his political party has very strong, compelling, and advanced first world nation ideolofocal standpoint.

Mr. shimunza says since the political party came to scene on 21st march 2017, everything he has been saying and things embedded in his party  constitution are being used by various players without due acknowledgement.

He has expressed concerned that others are even amending their constitutions to suit his manifestoes including his symbols.

Mr. Shimunza has noted that the PF led government and its ministers are quoting his constitutional provisions, and are currently partially implementing his ideas.

He says this means that the party is already ruling stressing that once given power in 2021 it would be easy implement its manifestoes.

And Mr. Shimunza has also accused government the patriotic led front-administration of stealing their modernization policy of shanty compounds and rural areas for sanitation and health.

Mr. Shimunza has told q-news that his party was the first to promise modernization of shanty compounds and rural areas for sanitation and health and wondered why the president highlighted that particular policy when he visited Lusaka’s garden compound which is among the areas that have been affected by cholera.

Meanwhile Mr. Shimunza has condemned President Edgar Lungu’s statement that government will not shy away from borrowing because money is needed for infrastructure development such as water systems, schools, hospitals and roads and not for consumption.

He says it is wrong for president lungu to advocate the uncontrolled, undisciplined borrowing when Zambia is already over 22 billion in terms of debt.

Mr. Shimunza has since called upon president lungu to revisit his statement on borrowing describing it as irresponsible remark.
