Consumer Unity and Trust Society (CUTS) International says the fine slapped on the three mobile network operators by ZICTA for failing to meet some of the set parameters on quality service is not enough.
Center coordinator Chenai Mukumba says while the move by ZICTA is welcome, the fines are nothing compared to what the companies are able to make.
She notes that the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) and other relevant institutions have for a long time been receiving numerous complaints about poor services rendered by the three mobile companies, but that no action has been taken against them.
Ms. Mukumba has accused the three mobile network operators namely Airtel,Zamtel and MTN of exploiting their customers.
