Baluba Mine to reopen in the early months of 2018- Chanda

Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda says government has finished engagement with Luanshya Copper Mines with regards the reopening of Baluba Mine is concerned and reopening of 28 shaft.

Mr. Chanda has told QTV News that the reopening of the Baluba mine that was put under care and maintenance in 2015 will create jobs for the youths.

He says the re-opening of the Baluba mine and Shaft 28 will also work as a positive to boosting the economy of Luanshya by complimenting the Mulyashi Open Pit that was recently opened.

Mr. Chanda says in the early months of 2018, the mine is expected to be reopened.
