YALI wants constitution relooked at in 2018

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has called on government to refocus on refining the republican constitution next year.

YALI Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza tells QTV News that there is need to make amendments to the current republican constitution.

Mr. Mwanza says if Zambians cannot agree to amend the constitution, then there is need to hold a referendum on the bill of rights so that when taken to parliament the entire constitution should be repealed and replaced with a new one.

He says 2018 should be a busy year for all stakeholders in ensuring that the lacunas in the constitution are addressed.
