Two women have been murdered by their lovers in two separate incidents in Central province.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says in one incident Police have launched a manhunt for a man only identified as Ozzy of Makululu Compound in Kabwe in connection with the murder of his lover identified as Queen Kapikanya aged 27 years also of the same Compound.
Ms Katongo says the incident happened on 6th December, 2017 at unknown time in Makululu Compound and that the victim sustained cuts on the right ear, multiple bruises on both lower and upper limbs and a fractured left arm.
She says the deceased was later dumped at Kasanda Mine Clinic by unknown people around 17:02 hours using an unknown motor vehicle.
Ms Katongo says the body is in Kasanda Mine Clinic Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
In a related development, a 19 year old woman identified as Lateness Malambo of Mukumba Village, Chief Chamuka in Chibombo District was allegedly murdered by her husband identified Advert Hanembo aged 20 years of the same abode also of Habulembo Village, Chief Moyo in Choma District.
Ms Katongo says the deceased had no physical injuries on the body but that the handle of a hoe is alleged to have been used in the act.
Ms Katongo says the suspect is currently detained in Police custody yet to be charged with murder.
Meanwhile, Ms Katongo says five criminals armed with iron bars have stolen a South African fuel tanker white in color registration number FM82BM GP laden with diesel whose value is not yet established.
She says the criminals attacked and tied the legs and hands of two security guards with ropes during the robbery which occurred yesterday along Katanga road in Lusaka at about 30 minutes after night.
Ms Katongo has since appealed to members of the public to help police with information which will help in bringing the involved criminals to book.
