MPs reminded of obligation to safeguard public funds

Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia Ragai Nasr says Members of Parliament have an obligation to ensure that public funds are well used in accordance with the national budget.

Mr. Nasr says the answer to the continued misuse of public funds as highlighted in the Auditor General’s reports lies with Members of Parliament.

He notes that this is not a problem for Zambia alone, but other countries as well.

Mr. Nasr tells QTV News that this is the more reason why Members of Parliament must always monitor the utilization of public funds so that they are used for the intended purposes.
