The United Party for National Development has condemned the behavior exhibited by Patriotic Front supporters towards Luampa Member of Parliament Makozo Chikote during the commission of the Luampa Grid Extension project.
UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma says the behaviour by the PF cadres confirms that the Patriotic Front is a violent and none repentant party.
He says the Member of Parliament was officially invited to witness the connection of electricity to his own constituency.
Mr. Kakoma has wondered how UPND supporters can attend government functions when their security is no guaranteed.
He says this is one of the reasons why UPND supporters shun government functions for fear of being attacked by PF supporters.
