Kambwili claims King Mswati cut deal for fourth mobile network

Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili claims King Mswati of Swaziland’s recent private visit to Mfuwe was to cut a deal to bring a fourth mobile phone service provider.

In his question during the Vice President’s question time, Mr Kambwili says he is reliably informed that King Mswati’s visit was to cut a deal.

He adds that some technocrats were flown to Mfuwe to discuss the matter.

Mr Kambwili asked Vice President Inonge Wina to assure the house that in the near future it will not be announced that King Mswati’s company has been given the license to bring a fourth mobile operator against Vodafone who have been trying to get a mobile license.

But her response to the question, Vice President Inonge Wina said she was not aware of the deal.

Ms Wina says the issue raised by Mr Kambwili is new to her.
