Cholera cases rise to 130

Ministry of health says cholera cases have continued to rise with the cases now standing at 130 cases since its outbreak.

Ministry’s head of communication and external relations Stanislaus Ngosa says only one patient from all cumulative cases is under treatment.

Mr. Ngosa says the ministry has therefore heightened provision of chlorine, health promotion and working with stakeholders in improving access to clean and safe drinking water.

The ministry has since advised members of the public to observe and practice high levels of hygiene and improved sanitation.
