PF/UPND urged to fully commit themselves to the impending national dialogue

Governance Activist Leslie Chikuse has urged the ruling PF and opposition UPND to fully commit themselves to the impending national dialogue.

Mr. Chikuse says it is disappointing and discouraging that the two political parties sent low-ranking party officials to the meeting political parties held with the Commonwealth Special Envoy Professor Ibrahim Gambari last week.

He has told QTV News that the two biggest political parties should be seen to take seriously such undertakings.

Mr Chikuse says all the political parties were represented by Presidents, Vice Presidents or Secretary General and yet the PF and UPND chose to send junior party officials.

He states this in itself is an indication that the two parties are not attaching the necessary importance to the dialogue process.
