Governance Activist Leslie Chikuse has observed that the political tension that characterized the country following the 2016 general election is slowly being diffused.

Mr. Chikuse says this is because political party leaders are slowly coming to terms that politics should come second to Zambia’s peace and unity.

He says the political tension was becoming a threat to Zambia’s long standing history of being a peaceful country.

He states that while political parties may differ on ideologies, they should always endeavor to promote peace and oneness in the country political.

Mr. Chikuse has also noted that the willingness by political parties to dialogue is helping in reuniting the nation.
