The Zambian DNA says it is clear that the United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema is not ready for dialogue and reconciliation with President Edgar Lungu because of his conduct.

Organization Spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa says his conduct both at home and abroad speaks volumes and is cause for worry.

Mr. Mulemwa says it is no secret that Mr. Hichilema turned a home coming thanks giving prayer meeting that was held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross into a political gathering.

He says the opposition leader talked about having forgiven those he allegedly caused his incarceration but while in South Africa at a press briefing Hichilema attacked and ridiculed the Zambian Government.

Mr. Mulemwa feels that the UPND leader is still bitter about his incarceration and cannot forgive and forget.

The Zambian DNA strongly feels that dialogue and reconciliation cannot take place without forgiveness as this is a process of healing in the spirit of give and take.

Mr. Mulemwa however, commends President Edgar Lungu for his statesmanship; in the manner he has handled the process from inception with the Catholic Bishops, General Olusegun Obasanjo and Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland.
