Chitimukulu advised against being used by politicians

United Party for National Development (UPND) national trustee Bernard Mpundu has advised Paramount Chief Chitimukulu against being used by politicians to settle political scores.

Mr Mpundu says the idea by the Chitimukulu to embarrass former Information and Broadcast minister Chishimba Kambwili for his political egoism is unthinkable.

He says Dr. Kambwili is a free citizen who has freedoms of assembly and association and should not be barred from attending traditional ceremonies.

He says the Ukusefya Pa Ngwena is a ceremony for the people regardless of who they are in society, and therefore Mr. Kambwili should not have been barred from attending the ceremony.

Mr. Mpundu states that his party believes that there should be love and unity for one another above politics.
