Kampyongo vows to pursue cop killers

Government has sourced K18 million of the K36 million owed to officers who participated in Phase 3 of the mobile issuance of National Registration Cards (NRCs).

Mr. Kampyongo says government remains committed to paying the remaining K18 million as soon as funds are set aside for this purpose.

He has refuted claims that the government has failed to settle arrears owed to the officers who participated in the exercise saying government is still considerate and appreciates the efforts of the hardworking officers.

Mr Kampyongo says the officers worked for the money and it will be paid to them in due course.

Meanwhile, the Home Affairs Minister has vowed that Police will not rest until they arrest the gang behind the killing of two Police officers in Ndola yesterday after a robbery.
