Govt read to process dual citizenship applications

Home Affairs Minister Steven Kampyongo says government is now in a position to process applications for dual citizenship.

Mr. Kampyongo has told journalists in Lusaka that this follows the publication of regulations on dual citizenship which have been published under Statutory Instrument Number 50 of 2017.

He has since advised people wishing to have dual citizenship to thoroughly read the guidelines and understand the requirements.

Mr Kampyongo says the regulations provide for procedures and fees required for application and subsequent acquisition of dual citizenship.
