The Ruling Patriotic Front (PF) says that the announcement by former Copperbelt Minister Mwenya that he was going to form a political party shortly after his expulsion from the party vindicates the party’s charges which were leveled against him.

PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya Tells Q News that when Mr. Musenge and his counterpart Chishimba Kambwili were brought before the party central committee  to exculpate themselves on the charges leveled against them, the former Copperbelt Minister was quick to apologize and asked the Central committee to put their differences behind, but was shocked to learn that he was again telling the media about a new political party.

Mr. Musenge was expelled together with Mr. Kambwili from on grounds that they were plotting to form another political party, and engaging in activities that were alleged to destabilize the party structures and put its name into ridicule or disrepute.

Shortly a day after his dismissal, Mr. Musenge announced that  he was going to form his own political party as he was now free to express himself.

And Mr. Bwalya has stated that Mr. Musenge’s decision is a clear indication that he had ill intentions towards the party.
