Luapula Expo receives K850, 000 donations from Mahtan, PIC
Luapula Expo has received an injection of K850, 000 from Professional Insurance Company and Rajan Mahtan Family towards the holding of this month’s Luapula Expo.
Professional Insurance Company donated K350, 000 while Group Chairman of the Mahtan Group of Companies Rajan Mahtan and his wife donated K500, 000 during the Professional Insurance Company golden jubilee celebrations in Lusaka.
And in receiving the donations, Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa says the province is indebted to the Professional Insurance Company and Dr. Mahtan for their contributions towards the hosting of this year’s Luapula Expo.
Mr. Chilangwa, who was flanked by Luapula Province Members of Parliament, says Luapula has the highest poverty levels in Zambia and thus the need to start helping the people of Luapula out of poverty.
He says it is through such gestures that the high poverty levels in the province will be alleviated.
