TALC National Director Felix Mwanza says the medicine will help many people who are at a high risk of getting infected such as, sex workers and sexually active individuals.

Mr Mwanza says it is now time for the government, the civil society and NGOs to work together in creating awareness.

He states that Pre-exposure Prophylaxis can be combined with condoms as HIV and AIDS preventive measures.

Mr Mwanza has since called on stakeholders in the health sector to ensure the drug is at the disposal of the public.

Daily Pre-exposure Prophylaxis reduces the chances of being infected with HIV by 90%.
