Mulenga Sata
Former Lusaka Mayor Mulenga Sata has observed the need for councils around the country to operate with full transparency and accountability.
Speaking in an interview Mr. Sata says the reports on misappropriation of funds and corrupt land management are concerning and need concerted efforts to be stopped.
Mr. Sata adds that councils should seriously consider upholding transparency and accountability because when they fall short of the expectations from the ministry of local government and the people they will have themselves to blame.
He has since urged councils to put in place stringent measures that will address the issue of lack of transparency in their councils if the country is to develop.
