Red Arrows came from behind to draw 1-1 at home to Nchanga Rangers in a week 15 fixture played at the Nkoloma Stadium on Sunday.

Nchanga Rangers took the lead in the 17th minute through Adams Zikiru, who scored in his second successive start, after tapping home from close range for the visitors to lead 1-0 at the break.

The goal caught Red Arrows off guard, as they were reorganizing after they were forced into early substitutions following injuries to Lottie Nyimbili in the opening minute and Benedict Chepeshi on fifteen minutes, with Francis Simwanza and Jimmy Chisenga coming on as replacements.

It was Chisenga who played a role in the equaliser as he won the penalty which was converted by Francis Kombe in the 70th minute.

The draw was enough for Nchanga Rangers to move out of the relegation zone into 14th position with 14 points on goal difference from Konkola Blades while Red Arrows moved into eighth position, level on 21 points with Lumwana Radiants and Forest Rangers who dropped to ninth and tenth positions on goal difference.

Nchanga Rangers’ next fixture is at home to Green Eagles, who are a position and three points above them while Red Arrows will be away to Nkana in a match which will be broadcast live on SuperSport on Sunday.
