United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) President Charles Chanda has expressed concern that the government has continued to contract loans without authorization by Parliament.

Mr. Chanda says it is constitutional that government should get parliamentary approval to contract loans.

And Mr. Chanda has advised government to strengthen the capacity of the Zambia Revenue Authority in revenue collection instead of looking to the international community to acquire loans.

He says the ZRA has the capacity to collect the much needed revenue thereby government reducing on borrowing.

Mr Chanda has urged government to respect the constitutional aspect that requires that Parliament gives approval for loans government intends to acquire.
