Young African Leaders Initiative Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza has advised the ruling Patriotic Front and the opposition United Party for National Development to consider banning and disbanding their security wings.
Mr. Mwanza has observed that some of the political violence and clashes that the country has experienced is as a result of the security wings of the two parties trying to prove who is better and stronger than the other.
He says the current blame game between the two parties on who provokes the other will not help resolve and curb the ongoing violent clashes and attacks involving their members.
On Saturday, cadres from the ruling PF and opposition UPND clashed in a vicious bloody attack at Lusaka’s memorial park leaving several people seriously injured.
