Lungu’s statement laughable- Kakoma

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) says President Edgar Lungu’s statement that the people who attacked UPND members at Memorial Park should be counseled is laughable.

UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma says the Police should arrest anyone who is perpetuating violence and not counsel them.

Mr Kakoma says the statement by the President is misplaced as it is encouraging PF supporters to continue attacking their opponents each time they meet.

He says it is a well-known fact that it was the PF Members who attacked mourners at the Memorial Park.

And Mr. Kakoma says the party is not happy with the way the Police have handled the matter.
