The Church has contributed to the political tension- Chikuse

Governance Activist Leslie Chikuse has observed that the church has partially contributed to the current political tension that is in the country.

Mr. Chikuse says it is undeniable fact that the Church has in many occasions failed to provide leadership in trying to diffuse the tension in the country.

He says the church has departed from its role of playing a reconciliatory role but has rather concentrated on taking political sides.

Mr. Chikuse has challenged the church to do a sober reflection and see how they will contribute to the growth of Zambia’s peace and unity.
