PF Media Director Sunday Chanda says Zambians from all walks of life must rise above any political and other affiliation to condemn violent schemes being orchestrated by the Opposition UPND in demanding for release of their leader Hakainde Hichilema who is appearing before the Courts of Law.

Mr. Chanda says in recent weeks, the nation has heard of a group in Southern Province agitated about the UPND leader’s arrest and calling itself Mau Mau threatening lives of citizens from the Eastern Province.

Mr. Chanda is calling on Zambians to name and shame these acts of terror aimed at inducing fear and apprehension in the minds of the general citizenry.

He says Zambians from all walks of life must support the Zambia Police as they enforce the law.

He adds that this is a country of laws and the people must reject the notion by hired voices that enforcement of laws amounts to dictatorship.

Mr. Chanda tells QTV News that Zambia remains a democracy at peace with itself and has asked well-meaning citizens to rise above any affiliations, to safeguard Zambia’s hard-earned peace.
