Real Nakonde head coach Mathews Njobvu has admitted that he might not have long to stay in charge of the club if the current run of poor results is not halted.

Njobvu spoke to supersport.com after his side lost 1-0 to Zesco United in a rescheduled week ten match played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Wednesday.

Nakonde have lost four out their five recent matches in which they have collected a single point and are second from bottom with 7 points on goal difference from bottom place Mufulira Wanderers.

Their seven points were collected in draws with Buildcon, Forest Rangers, Green Eagles and Nakambala Leopards, including their solitary victory which came against Mufulira Wanderers in week five.

“We have lost again but we still need to stay focused because the league hasn’t yet gone,” said Njobvu.

“I am really under pressure because the log reflects how we are performing. So far we have lost four matches in a row and I think my superiors are beginning to lose confidence. The first solution is to beef up the team.

“We need to start collecting points at all cost. But it is a good experience to lose against a top team like Zesco.

“This result gives us pressure so the first thing we are going to do is to work on the psychology of the players. They need to believe in themselves because you could see that they gave too much respect to Zesco.”

“We had three or four good chances while they only had one and scored. We need to be more clinical and we have to work on our front line, so we are going to make sure that we have to strengthen the squad in the next transfer window period.”

On Sunday, Real Nakonde travel to City of Lusaka who lie a position above them separated by a single point.
