Zambia Council for Social Development Executive Director Lewis Mwape has called for the tabling of important bills such as the access to information bill and the budget and planning bill following resumption of parliamentary sittings.

Mr. Mwape says these two bills are some of the most critical bills whose lack of enactment has affected the social and economic development of the nation and the general wellbeing of the people.

He has noted that access to information bill has been dragging for a long time and should now be tabled so as to allow people have access to information.

And Young African Leaders Initiative Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza has called for civility in the house and more efforts to put in discussing bills.

He has urged the Speaker of the National Assembly to guide parliamentarians on the need to engage in less of confrontations and unnecessary debates on issues that have no value to citizens.

Mr Mwanza has also called for the legislation of the constitutional amendment bill and the political parties act during this sitting.
