Lungu praised for remaining in the Paris Climate agreement- WWF

World Wide Fund has hailed President Edgar Lungu for his commitment to keep Zambia in the Paris Climate agreement.

WWF communications manager Eneya Phiri has told Q News that the president’s commitment to the Paris accord is commendable, as the country has not been spared from the effects of climate change.

Mr. Phiri states that WWF is committed to working with government to ensure there is total implementation of what is agreed upon in the accord.

He notes that the science on climate change is indisputable as witnessed from, low water levels in the country’s water bodies, and reduced agriculture yields.
