UPND in Southern province backs GBM

The United Party for National Development (UPND) in Southern province has given its full support to the leadership of party vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.

Refuting social media reports that the UPND in southern province are calling for the removal of Mr Mwamba as party vice president, UPND Southern Province Spokesperson, Neto Halwabala says at no time did the UPND leadership in the province sit to make such a resolution.

Mr Halwabala has stated that the UPND in Southern Province is in full support of the able Leadership of Mr. Mwamba contrary to social media reports that the party in the province is demanding for his removal on allegation that he has abandoned the party at the point of need.

He states that it was expected that the ruling Patriotic Front would allegedly use the whereabouts of Mr Mwamba to try and cause confusion in the party.
