Ministry of health spokesperson Dr Kennedy Malama says the ministry is this year enhancing its provision of HIV testing around the country.
Dr Malama told Journalists that there is a large number of people currently living with HIV but they do not know that they have it because they have not gone for testing, a situation he terms as dangerous.
Dr Malama has stated that the ministry is therefore enhancing its self testing program as a way of ensuring that more people know their status.
He has also stated that the ministry is also ensuring that all those tested and found positive are pout on treatment immediately.
He has assured the ministry’s commitment in ensuring that it ups its game in offering various HIV services around the country.
