Patriotic for Economic Progress (PEP)president Enock Tembo says government should provide a compelling explanation as to why UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and his co-accused have been moved to Kabwe’s Mukobeko Maximum Correctional facility.
Mr. Tembo says while the state has the power to do as it pleases, it also has a duty to use such power in a reasonable manner.
He says transferring the accused away from easy access by their families and relatives without providing any compelling reasons, is unreasonable.
Mr. Tembo says his party does not see the reason why Mr Hichilema had to be transferred to Mukobeko correctional facility and thereby making it logistically cumbersome for his family to visit him.
