UPND claims PF cadres attacked GMB, two chiefs

UPND Central Province Youth Chairman Milner Mwanakampwe has disclosed that last evening some suspected PF cadres physically attacked UPND Vice President Geoffrey Mwamba, Senior Chief Hamusonde and Chief Mukuni in Kabwe.

Mr. Mwanakampwe claims that this happened after Mr. Mwamba and the two traditional leaders were not allowed to visit incarcerated UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema at Mukobeko Maximum Prison in Kabwe.

In a statement issued to the media, Mr. Mwanakampwe says it does not make sense for PF cadres to physically attack traditional leaders in the manner they did last evening saying this is shameful.

He furthermore claims that as they attacked Mr. Mwamba and the two chiefs, they also ended up seriously injuring UPND Central Province Chairman Albert Chifita who is currently admitted to Kabwe General Hospital receiving medical treatment.

Mr. Mwanakampwe says this kind of politics should not be tolerated in the country.
