Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) President Andrew Nthewewe has challenged President Edgar Lungu to break the silence on the 2021 PF presidential candidate debate saying this is becoming bothersome for Zambians.

And Mr. Nthewewe has challenged the Head of State to tell the nation if the current endorsements are a sign that he knows the outcome of the Constitutional Court ruling on his illegibility to re-contest the 2021 general elections after four opposition political party leaders challenged this matter in the ConCourt.

Mr. Nthewewe has explained to QTV News that for the PF Secretary General Davies Mwila and other PF members to continue talking and claiming that President Lungu is the PF sole candidate in the 2021 elections when the matter is yet to be determined by the courts, this shows that they know something about what is expected of the matter.

He says the endorsements are also contemptuous in nature because the matter has not yet being concluded by the Constitutional Court.

Mr. Nthewewe says the silence by the President shows that he is indeed enjoying the debate when he just entered into office seven months ago saying this is the time to deliver the much needed development in the country.

The YALI President has furthermore told QTV News that the young people are worried that there seems to be a power struggle amongst political stakeholders.
