Visiting President of Madagascar Hery Rajaonarimampianina has encouraged COMESA member states to increase trade among themselves.

Mr. Rajaonarimampianina, who is also COMESA chairperson, has stressed the importance of infrastructure development, and energy as enablers of economic development.

He has encouraged member states to promote industrialization, to enhance trade among themselves through value addition.

And Mr. Rajaonarimampianina has further stated that COMESA member countries are committed to unify and integrate their economies.

Mr. Rajaonarimampianina was speaking at the COMESA Secretariat in Lusaka this morning when he concluded his two day visit to Zambia.
