United, Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) President Charles Chanda has observed the need for old politicians in the country to retire and allow a youthful crop to take up the leadership mantle.

Mr. Chanda tells QTV News that it is unfortunate and unfair that some people have been eating while in government from the UNIP era and now in PF.

He says this is the time the nation should consider grooming young people to take over the leadership mantle and allow old politicians to retire.

Mr. Chanda says old politicians are being selfish to continue clinching on to power for many years without allowing the young people to participate in leadership activities.

He says his party has a clear map on how the young people will be promoted and groomed into becoming better leaders of tomorrow.

Mr. Chanda has since called on old politicians who have eaten enough and not adding value to the growth of the nation to retire and pave way for the young generation to take over the leadership of the nation.
