FnB to hold welcome parade for U-20

First National Bank (FNB) will hold a welcome parade for the Zambia U-20 National Team on their return from the FIFA World Cup where they bowed out in the quarter finals.

According to the program released by FNB Corporate Affairs Executive Luke Njobvu and availed to Fazfootball.com, the parade start from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport and proceed through Airport Road pouring into Great East road.

The procession through Great East Road will go all the way through Kabwe Round About flowing into Cairo Road.
FNB are the official sponsors of the Zambia U-20 National team.

Zambia beat Portugal 2-1 before thumping Iran 4-2 and wound up their group matches with a 1-0 loss to Costa Rica.
In the knockout stage the team beat Germany 4-3 before Italy overcame them through a 3-2 result.

NOTE THE FULL ROUTE BELOW:
Route:

Start from KK International Airport; through Airport Rd. into Great East Road towards Manda Hill all the way to Kabwe roundabout; into Cairo Road to Kafue roundabout, into Independence Avenue towards Freedom Statue; into Burma Road.

The procession pours past Kabwata Police Station into Nationalist Road through UTH all the way into Haile Selassie Avenue to Longacres roundabout.

It will then proceed into Alick Nkhata towards ZNBC and then Thabo Mbeki to East Park Mall (for a ‘meet and greet’ and selfies with fans).

VANTAGE POINTS:

• Great East Rd. – covering fans in Avondale, Chelston, PHI, Kaunda Square, Chainama, Munali, Jesmondine, UNZA, Northmead, Garden, Rhodespark and Thornpark

• Cairo Rd. – covering fans in town

• Burma Rd. – covering fans in Kamwala, Kabwata and Libala

• Nationalist Rd. – covering fans in the UTH area

• East Park Mall – for a limited ‘selfie opportunity’ with the players.
