Justice Minister Given Lubinda has dismissed assertions by the opposition UPND that the Judiciary is deliberately delaying their leader Hakainde Hichilema’s treason case.

Mr. Lubinda says the Judiciary will ensure that incarcerated opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema receives a speedy and fair trial.

He has told QTV News that the defense team has been asking for preliminary issues and adjournments, thereby causing further delays in the matter.

He has further stated that it is unfair for anyone to blame the Judiciary for the deployments, adding that Mr. Hichilema’s legal team should put their acts together, for the courts to accord him a speedy trial.
