A truck ferrying about 86 pupils in Siavonga District was impounded last evening for failing to heed to government ban of ferrying school pupils after 17hrs.

And Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has confirmed the development to QTV News that a Fuso fighter truck was last night impounded in Siavonga district for failing to abide to government ban of ferrying school pupils after 17hrs.

Mr. Kanyama has explained that the truck in question was carrying 86 pupils from Matua Primary School to Siavonga secondary school, within Siavonga district where they had school sports.

He says the truck was impounded carrying 86 pupils around 18hrs.

He is also calling on all school head teachers in Siavonga district to observe the ban and avoid ferrying pupils in canters or rather trucks or any mode transport after 17hrs.

Mr. Kanyama says teachers found wanting will be charged.
