President Lungu is part of mess in police – Tayali

Economic and Equity Party (EEP) President Chilufya Tayali has charged that President Edgar Lungu is part of the mess in the Zambia Police Service.

Mr. Tayali says if the Police are abusing the law, the President as commander-in-chief of the armed forces cannot be spared from blame.

He says the President has an obligation to make sure that the police execute their duties diligently.

He states that the silent voice by the President giving instructions to the Police comes in when the police fail to disclose who directed them to do certain things.

Mr. Tayali tells QTV News that no police officer would disclose that he was sent by the President, but the arrogance and over-zealousness of the Police to do the wrong things is a clear sign that, the President is allegedly involved.
