Local government permanent secretary Amos Malupenga
Local government permanent secretary Amos Malupenga says government will not allow any investor to illegally and unnecessary displace the local people.
Mr. Malupenga has also urged traditional leaders to play their part in protecting and preserving land for the locals in their chiefdoms.
He says his ministry is engaging with chiefs around the country on the need to preserve and protect land for the benefit of the people and the future generation.
Mr. Malupenga has told journalists that government has heard rumors that some investors are now displacing local people through the implementation of various developmental projects.
He has since challenged anyone with such information to report or confirm with the ministry of local government so that it can either confirm or intervene in such situations.
