ZCSD commends taking of NGO Act to Cabinet

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has commended the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services for submitting the NGO Act draft policy to cabinet for approval, aimed at repealing the controversial NGO Act of 2009.

The council is only hoping that the government through the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services has not removed anything from the draft policy which stakeholders had suggested.

ZCSD Executive Secretary Lewis Mwape tells QTV News that it will be prudent that the government does not temper with the submissions towards the repealing of the NGO Act.

Mr. Mwape says the council is also hoping that the government will follow and respect the submissions as gathered through various forums.
