Harrington calls for political reconciliation

Former Transport and Communications William Harrington has encouraged President Edgar Lungu not to ignore calls for him and opposition leaders to dialogue in resolving their matters.

Mr. Harrington says remaining obstinate over this matter will not help the nation in any way.

Mr. Harrington says the Head of State must learn lessons from the failure by the UPND to recognize him as a president saying this standoff may continue and thus the need to sit down and resolve their differences.

He says the UPND is not happy that their petition case never saw the light and thus the need for President Lungu to extend a hand in resolving matters with the opposition UPND.
