The Advocacy against Child Abuse and Gender Based Violence has called on government to decentralize fast track courts dealing with GBV related cases.

Advocacy Executive Director Bellion Chola says it is unfair that the case of Ruth Mbandu took too much to be disposed of saying justice has been denied for her family.

Mr. Chola says justice delayed is justice denied saying this is what the nation has witnessed in the Ruth Mbandu’s case which he says has taken too much time.

He says this is the more reason why his organization has been calling on government to ensure that cases of GBV are done with in a shortest possible time.

He adds that it will be good if cases of GBV are concluded on time like the way it is done with traffic offenses.

Mr. Chola says the government should learn lessons from this cases and that if the nation is to score some positives in the fight against GBV, it must start with government giving this issue attention.
