It’s colloquial thinking we’re in denial- Katuka

The United Party for National Development (UPND) has described as a colloquial way of thinking assertions that it is still living in denial of having lost last year’s presidential election.

UPND Secretary General

Stephen Katuka

UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka has wondered why anyone can make such a suggestion when there is still an active court case in court relating to last year’s presidential election.

Mr. Katuka says the interest of his party is to see to it that the matter before the courts of law is disposed off based on the evidence adduced on who won the election.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Katuka says the UPND will therefore continue pursuing the court case to its conclusive end.

Mr. Katuka states that the UPND is not asking for too much to ask for proof that attests to the fact that President Edgar Lungu won last year’s presidential election.

He however states that this does not mean that the UPND wants the matter before the Courts to be ruled in its favor.
