Mobile City has donated smart phone to each of the U-20 national team players and technical bench in the aftermath of the Total Africa Cup of Nations victory.

Managing Director Mohammed Patel visited the team at Hotel Intercontinental and thanked them for having won the Africa Cup of Nations.

Patel said that the whole country was proud of the achievement of the lads and wished them well at the South Korea World Cup.

“It is a joyous occasion for the country, we also thought that we could just say thank you to the players by giving them a smart phone each and a selfie stick,” he said.

“We have been following them and we extend our hands to them. We feel that for every achievement there has to be an incentive.”

He added: “With the selfie stick, they can be able to take pictures as they are stars and we can follow them on social platforms.”

The Zambia U-20 won the continental crown on Sunday by beating Senegal 2-0 at Heroes Stadium.

Goals from Patson Daka and Edward Chilufya sunk the Senegalese team who came short in the final on two successive occasions.

The success of the team has cultivated some goodwill with FNB having signed a K1.5million sponsorship deal over a three year period.
