Be civil, Mumba advises State House

State House has been advised to guard against disrespecting and ridiculing citizens in its public statements in a bid to clarify misunderstood matters relating to the Presidency.

Nevers Mumba

MMD faction leader Nevers Mumba is particularly advising the President’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda to always be civil in his public utterances.

Dr. Mumba says the authority entrusted with those in government demands that they remain civil in the way they argue their positions on policy matters.

In an interview with QTV News, Dr. Mumba says this is whether or not their arguments will sometimes differ from those holding opposing views.

Dr. Mumba says he finds the recent utterances by Mr. Chanda made with respect to the recent visit to Zambia of the Moroccan King to be disrespectful.

He states that it is unZambian for a young person like Mr. Chanda to use abusive language on elder persons in the manner he allegedly did in disputing rumors on why the Moroccan King had earlier postponed his visit.
