Political Scientist Alex Ng’oma has described as unfortunate the polarization that continues to characterize Zambia’s political environment six months after the country went to the polls.

In an interview with Qfm News, Dr. Ng’oma says it is regrettable that some political parties have refused to recognize President Edgar Lungu as the duly elected Head of State.

Dr. Ng’oma says there can only be one winner in an election.

He says it is therefore important for losing political parties in an election to always quickly concede defeat as a way of helping the country move forward.

And some Lusaka residents talked to by Qfm News feel the solution to Zambia’s current political tension lies dialogue between the ruling party and the opposition.
