Former Transport and Communications Minister William Harrington has called for a full audit of the expenditure on the road projects more especially for the past six years.

Mr. Harrington contends that ever since the Road Development Agency (RDA) was taken to State House, the country has seen problems in the road infrastructure as some of the projects completed do not last long.

Mr. Harrington says for as long as challenges that are arising in the road sector are not addressed, the nation will continue to witness the substandard works being done by some contractors.

He says the substandard roads are also contributing to the high cases of road accidents recorded in the country.

Mr. Harrington tells QTV News that in order to clear the allegations of corrupt activities in the awarding of road construction contracts, it is important that a complete audit of the contracts is done.
